MY CUP RUNNETH OVER
This is the first book in the series and it has a title that’s been chosen to represent a particularly rewarding period in Constable Steve Shearwater’s life, when the bad events – and there are some nasty ones – are still significantly outweighed by the good. It also alludes to a practice that has now all but disappeared: that of officers calling at various businesses or houses during their working hours, and yes, enjoying a hot drink, but just as importantly hearing about problems or even who committed recent crimes. Police officers’ “coffee spots” or “brew spots” used to be great sources of information.
